Many small businesses have the issue of where to get the best deals for basics like stationary and furniture. Bea Quirk comments that "Redesigning your office and buying new furniture is expensive. To get the best value, make sure you develop a good relationship with a furniture dealer."
The obvious benefits to doing this, is if you can get a rapport with a dealer, they can personalise you with good deals knowing full well that they will get your sale again and again. Plus it gives you the confidence of knowing you won't get ripped off.
Quirk confirms this saying "And although price is certainly important, don't make it the driving factor in your decision. The most important thing you should be looking for is a relationship. "
If you are getting a good deal from a continuous relationship, they are gaining as they are getting commission off you, whilst you get the benefits of lower prices and a friendly honest answer whilst dealing with something you are constantly going to have to get.
